Publications

This is where the stories go that don't always fit elsewhere: essays, observations, and commentary on the systems and practices shaping our cities.

Through my work with Rail Fans Canada and beyond, I've come to believe that infrastructure isn't just functional: it is deeply rooted in culture, politics, and profoundly human. This space is a way to go deeper, to ask questions, and to connect the dots between policy, design, and lived experience.

Often, these pieces begin with a comment in a chat, a throwaway line that lingers, or a moment that doesn't sit right. Writing them is how I unpack those thoughts, and maybe offer a perspective others hadn't considered yet.

While I post those articles here first, you can also find them on Substack and get notified whenever a new one drops!

Rail Fans Canada

As a contributor and editor for Rail Fans Canada, I help lead a collaborative platform dedicated to exploring and documenting Canada's evolving passenger rail landscape. Together, we shine a spotlight on the systems shaping urban mobility and regional connectivity across the country.

Our work includes in-depth videos, written features, photography, and community discussions covering everything from important moments and day-to-day operations to the latest in rail technology and design. Our goal is to make transit knowledge engaging, inclusive, and easy to understand for all audiences.

I'm actively involved in producing visual content for Rail Fans Canada and other independent projects. I specialize in photography, videography, and research-driven storytelling that brings infrastructure and transit systems to life.

Whether I'm breaking down complex operations or sharing behind-the-scenes insights, my goal is to present urban design and transit topics in a way that's accessible, informative, and visually compelling.

Let's keep the conversation going.

Public infrastructure needs more than vision: it needs people who can connect delivery with meaning, and ambition with accountability. That's the work I want to do.

I bring a unique mix of operational experience, civic insight, and creative strategy to complex systems. Whether you're leading a major project, designing a public platform, or scaling delivery capacity, I'd love to be part of that conversation, and that team.

If you're hiring, collaborating, or building something that matters, let's talk.
