This is where stories live that don’t always fit elsewhere: essays, observations, and commentary on the systems shaping our cities.
Through my work with Rail Fans Canada and beyond, I've come to believe
that infrastructure isn't just functional: it is deeply rooted in
culture, politics, and profoundly human. This space is a way to go
deeper, to ask questions, and to connect the dots between policy,
design, and lived experience.
Often, these pieces begin with a comment in a chat, a throwaway line
that lingers, or a moment that doesn't sit right. Writing them is how
I unpack those thoughts, and maybe offer a perspective others hadn't
considered yet.

Rail Fans Canada
As a contributor and editor for Rail Fans Canada, I help lead a
collaborative platform dedicated to exploring and documenting Canada's
evolving passenger rail landscape. Together, we shine a spotlight on
the systems shaping urban mobility and regional connectivity across
the country.
Our work includes in-depth videos, written features, photography, and
community discussions covering everything from important moments and
day-to-day operations to the latest in rail technology and design. Our
goal is to make transit knowledge engaging, inclusive, and easy to
understand for all audiences.
