I care about benchmarking and continuous improvement, especially in how information is shared and read. To support that, this site uses a very limited implementation of analytics to understand broad usage patterns.

Analytics

dbellerive.ca uses Google Analytics (GA4) in a basic, non-advertising configuration to measure aggregate information such as page views, reading time, and referral sources.

This implementation is intentionally simple and non-stealthy. If you use a content blocker, analytics will likely be blocked — and that is entirely intentional, as respecting visitor privacy matters to me.

This data helps answer simple questions: which pieces are read, how people arrive here, and whether content is explored beyond a single page. It is not used to profile individuals or track users across sites.

Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish visits and measure engagement. IP addresses are anonymized, and no user accounts, advertising signals, or personalization features are enabled on this site.

What this site does not do

• Advertising or ad targeting
• Remarketing or audience segmentation
• Cross-site tracking
• Sale or sharing of personal data
